A constable discovered in the bush a motor-car that was stolen ■md last night, with two more constables, .witched. Two men arrived in another otoleii car and the police ordered them 0 stop, but they started at full'speed. Constable Watson fired two shots with ii revolver and the car shortly stopped. Both the inmates were wounded and one, fames Holmes, died en route to the hospital. The other, Eric Russell, is seriously wounded.
