LICENSING COMMITTEES.
CASES AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. The adjourned sitting of the Wellington Licensing Committee heard to-day eases where the police had lodged objections to renewals. The committee decided to, refuse J. J. Firth's application for a renewal of the license respecting the ' Albion Hotel, on the grounds that the house was unsatisfactorily conducted and (lint drunken ness had been permitted on the premises. In tile ease of the Clarendon Hotel the license was renewed, lmt the licensee, F. Dobson, was warned thai strietr-r supervision must be maintained. A good deal of evidence ivns heard on the police objections to renewals for the Xew Zealander Hotel (T. SI. l)avey),aiul Cricketers' Anns (J. T. Foley), and (Indecision in each case was reserved'for week.
