The building on People's Day (Thursday). was crowded both afternoon and evening, and all stall-holders reported good business. The committee of ladies in charge of the produce stall of the Red Cross Mart, and the ladies of the I?.cd Cross Depot, who held a fancygoods and exhibition stall, did particularly well, and hope with the assistance of the public to add £IOO to the fund before the ending of the show. May they have their hope fulfilled, as their energies are untiring for the good of their great work. In the evening the scene was a very piettv one. the-rotuiula in the centre of the hall, with its variegated electric lights, making such a pantomimic scene that the younger fry, when passing, just stopped and gazed. Much appreciative music was rendered by the Citizens' Band. THE KOVAL STROLLERS. A delightful entertainment was given by the Royal Strollers last Wednesday evening in the Theatre Royal to a very large and appreciative audience. The company was mirth-provoking, the jests being lefresbing and free from all vulgarity, and every item from beginning to end was encored. The pretty frocks of the lady performers added much to the charm of the performance.
