PRESSURE ON GREECE. A BLOCKADE INSTITUTED. Wellington, Yesterday. The High Commissioner reports under date London, June 8, 5.20 p.m.: — The Foreign Office announces that, arising out of the surrender of Greek territory to Bulgarian troops, the British are taking precautions respecting the export of coal, and respecting Greek shipping in British ports, in order to prevent supplies reaching the enemy. The questibn of restrictive measures affecting Greek ports is under the consideration of the Allies. THE ALLIES* DEMAND. GREEK ARMY MUST BE DEMOBILISED. Received June 9. 9.15 p.m. Salonika, June 9. The local press explains that the blockade is the result of the Allies' demands for the instant demobilisation ot the Greek army. CREEK PORTS BLOCKADED. COMMERCIAL NAVIGATION STOPPED. Received June 9, 9.5 p.m. Athens, June 9. There was consternation in Parliament when M. Skouloudis read the despatches showing that France had decided to prevent all commercial navigation to Greece. French warships stopped four boats that were expected at the Piraeus today. NO ENGLISH COAL FOR GREECE. Received June 9, 9.5 p.m. London, June 9. Government orders have been received at Cardiff prohibiting the export of coal to Greece.
ACTION OF CREEK CABINET. DEMOBILISATION DECIDED UPON. Received June 9, 10.20 p.m. Athens, June 0. The Greek Cabinet has declared that the twelve senior classes will be de. mobilised immediately.
