To the Editor. Sir,—The ancient tablet of TCii, used by the tribe known as Kii, 5200 years since, defines the compound word Kitchener as "Kit" (soft t), signifying truth; "chin" (a great ruler)j "cr," as sacred light. Therefore "Kitchener" is a word that signifies Truth, Law, and j-iight.—l am, etc., STUDENT.
