The Hon. Sir George E. Foster, Canadian Minister of Commerce, attends the Paris Conference as a British delegate. Official: Lord Crewe will attend the Paris Economic Conference instead of Mr, Runciman. THE RIGHT MOVE. IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS. Received June 8, 8.50 p.m. London, June 8. The conference of the Imperial Council of Commerce, by an overwhelming majority, favored preferential trading within the Empire, the prohibition of the naturalisation of enemies until twenty years' residence in Britain, and recommended mutual customs arrangement with the Dominions.

The Daily Express says that but for being engaged with the Irish mediation, Mr. Lloyd George would have accompanied Lord Kitchener. OFFICIAL CHANGES. London, June 7. Vice-Admiral Sir Frederick T. Hamilton has succeeded Admiral Sir R. S. Lowry as Commander-in-Chiei at Eosytli. Vice-Admiral Gougb Calthorpe has succeeded the former as Lord Commissioner to the Admiralty.
