PROPOSED WAR LOAN. FIFTY MILLIONS TO BE ASKED FOR. ■ Melbourne, May 31. Mr. Higgs states that the next Commonwealth war loan will be placed on the Australian market early in June. The Ministry is empowered to borrow to the extent of fifty millions. . It is understood that it is the intention for the new loan to be for no fixed amount, but to take as much of fifty millions as is offered. FURTHER CASUALTIES. j Received May 31, 9 p.m, Sydney,.
