ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
■ ■ TWO WORKMEN DROWNED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Yesterday. Two workmen, Robert Jackson, a married man, and Arthur Napier, were drowned in the Waikato River at Rangi-, riri at 8.30 this morning. They were employed by McLean and Co., bridge contractors, in construction work on the new bridge to cross the river at this spot, and were engaged in removing a winch when the punt became entangled in a wire rope and upset. The bodies have not been recovered. . _m ■ 1
