! The annual meeting of the Hawera i Club was held on Monday, when the following officers were elected: President, Mr. W. A. Parkinson; vice-presidents, Messrs. Geo. Syme and E. B. Bates; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Robertson; auditor, Mr. D. Q. Smart; general committee, Messrs. W. Robertson, J. Gray, W. Grant, C. Robb, J. Crabb, G. A. Bur- ; gess, R. Tait, W. Spenfce, and S. Adamson; delegates to Centre; The president, secretary and vice-president; secretary, Mr. A. Robertson. ' \ Tke question of deleting the handicap pairs fr»m nevt season's programme was ; left in the hands of the committee, ' there being a difference of opinion on the ; matter by those present at the meeting. Votes of thanks were accorded to : last year's officers and to the ladies for - supplying afternoon tea.
