The above map gjves a comprehensive view of Asia Minor and Northern Persia, showing the extent of the Russian advance during the last few months from the.Caucasus and from the Caspian Sea towards Bagdad and the Bagdad railway. Tho arrows mark the positions of the Russian armies at the end of February, and the V's denote the -line9 of our Eastern Allies to-day—from Trebizond to Bagdad, the towns being about 600 miles apart. The position of the British forces is shown before Kut-el-Amara, and the V to the north-east of Bagdad indicates the position of the Russian army advancing from the Caspian Sea across th« niountains, which they are now descending towards the Tigris Valley, the advance cavalry having joiiied up with Gsnera-1 Gor« Tinge's force. ■ s
