SOME HARD FIGHTING. OFFICIAL REPORTS Received May 30, 8.50 p.m. Borne, May 30. A communique says: The enemy in the La Carina valley renewed obstinate and bloody attacks, which again and again were broken. The Italians on thij Asiago plateau occupied a consolidating position dominating the Asiago basin. A Vienna communique says: In the Asiago sector we gained a footing on the southern and eastern slopes of Assa valley, and occupied several heights north of Asiago. We ejected the Italians from their positions west and south of Bettale, in the upper 'Posina valley. THE AUSTRIAN LOSSES. London, May 29. It is estimated that the Austrian losses on the Italian front since May 14 are 100,000.
