The German -"American Organisation in Xew York, the members of which are responsible for the bomb ind shipping outrages, hit upon the idea of arousing American indignation and ill-feeling against Britain by reproducing a number of old cartoons from Punch got up so as to represent an actual issue of that famous weekly, but having at the head of the title page, above the word the legend "As England sees U.S. shown in (!Punch)," while at the foot are the words, "Some famous and forgotten cartoons that the present generation of Americans should see." This spurious edition was placed on sale, but had to be withdrawn, under threat of legal proceedings, and all the copies handed over to a representative of Punch proprietor*, We are in receipt of one of these copies, which bear tinmistakablc evidence of the intention of the Organisation to endeavor to inculcate the Americans with the hate for England that obsessed the Teutons.
