W, dittos, the well-known pioneer Methodist missionary to the Maoris in the Knipara, is nt present in a- private hospital in,a very low state of health. Mr. Douglas Allan Harle, of New Ply. month, was on Thursday admitted as ft barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court hy Mr. Justice Hosking. • Mr. Harle, who is a eorporal in the !7tti Reinforcements appeared in uniform. His Honor wished him a safe return to New Zealand and success in practice. Corporal Harle vas formerly n student nt Victoria Co'Hge, Wellington. An Auckland message yesterday announced the death of Hew' William Olitos, at the age of 87 years. For sixty years he has hec-n engaged in the Metholist Maori mission work at Kaipara, and icccntly entered a private hospital, wing to the very low stab of his health. The deceased was bnrivnt Tngleton, County Dmham, England, and at the age of ten/came with his parents to New Zealand in the.ship "James."
