FORECAST. Wellington, Last Night. Present indications are for strong east to south-easterly winds northward of East Cape and Kawhia, A and variable winds with southerlies predominating elsewhere. Evpect cold and . changenble _ conditions generally,' and rain especially in the " northern and East Coast districts of the North Island, also about Foveaux Strait. The barometer is unsteady, but will probably be rising again shortly.
