MEETING. is hereby given that a Special 'General Meeting of the Society, 'will be held on SATURDAY, the 27th May, 1916, at the hour of 1.30 o'clock in the afternoon, at the TOWN HALL, in King Street, in the town of NEW PLYMOUTH, to elect a Treasurer, and to consider, and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolution, with or without modifications:— , RESOLUTION. Th»t Section 9 of "Agricultural and Pastoral Societies' Act, 1908," be adopted, and that the Committee of Management of the Society he authorised to borrow for all or any purposes mentioned in the said Section a sum not exceeding £3OOO, at a rate of interest not exceeding £6 per centum per annum, on security of a Mortgage of the Lands of the Society, or by the issue of £5 Debentures to that arilount, or by both such means, as the Committee shall think fit, and otherwise in accords£s£ with -th® provisions of "the said Section 9; and the Presi- ■ dent, a Vice-President, and the Treasurer of the Society are hereby authorised to affix the Seal of the Society to any Mortgage or Debentures; as the case may be, and to sign such' Mortgage or Debentures for and on bfelialf of the Society.
