OKATO.' (From. Our Own Correspondent).' A meetiyg of the Okato district committee wa| held in the'Hempton- Hall on Tuesday afternoon, there being present: Messrs W. J. Orav, C. Andrews and J. S. Fox (Okato); W. Honeyfield and H D. Moss (Tataraimaka) - ; L. Wells and W. H. Butler (iPuniho). Mr Fox was voted to the chair. The account sales of the recent auction were placed on the table, also the lists of subscriptions, The grand total reached the splendid sum of £5lO 4.5, which wan considered" most satisfactory, and wilj be handed to the Taranald Wounded Soldiers' Fund, " The committee expressed hearty thanks to Mr. New ton King and his staff of six men for the troulble taken to bring the sale to such a successful issue. Thanks were also accorded the donors of cash and goods. Mr. J. S. Fox was appointed the delegate to represent Okato, Tataraimaka and Puniho on the War Relief Association.
