/ • ' KILLED ON THE RAILWAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. ■A middle-aged man named Alexander ■T. S. Thomson, a saddler by trade, was killed to-night near tihe signal box' at the Bunny Street end of Lambton Station. He was apparently going to the wharves, and got on the line, where lie had no business to be. The shunter who was riding in front of the enjdne saw nothing till the man suddenly lurched forward and fell under the cowcatcher. The body was fearfully mangled, the skull being smashed and the left arm severed. Thomson died in a few minutes. He leaves a wife and three children.
