BOARD OF TRADE.
—1 MR. WttFORD ASKS A QUESTION. By Telegraph.—Special to News. Wellington, Yesterday. In the course of his speech on the Ad-dress-in-Reply debate this afternoon, Mr. ■J. McCombs, in criticising the administration of the Government, held Sir Joseph Ward responsible for the delay in setting up the Board- of Trade, and for the failure of that body to do anything to reduce the cost of living. When the Prime Minister was speaking this, evening, Mr. Wilford, by interjection, asked which Minister was responsible for the administration of the Act by which the Board of Trade had been created. Mr. Massey:—"l am, of course, as Minister of Industries and Commerce. I should have thought that the member for Hutt would have known that." I Mr. Wilford: "I did, but I wished you to correct a statement made by [another speaker this afternoon."
