The Government lias informed the British and New Zealand authorities that it is prepared to assist in every possible wa> thp Shackleton relief expeditions. New Zealand has not replied to the suggestion that Dr. Mawson is the best man able to advise. The scheme proposed is thai the crew of the Aurora, of five officers and twenty men, provisioned for eighteen jncnths, shall make the journey.
