SOLDIERS GOING ON THE LAND.

SOME SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, May 11. At a special meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Board to-day 70 applicants were examined for land for discharged soldiers in Takapau and Norsewood survey districts. Great interest was taken in the ballot, which was held at 8 p.m. The following were the results:— Block R.L. Takapau, Section 9, 119 acres, F. G. Butler, Takapau; 37 applicants.
