DROUGHT BROKEN. DISASTROUS FLOODS NEW ZEALANDERS HOMEWARD Received May 11. 10.30 p.irt Capetown, May 11. The disastrous drought in the midland districts has broken, being followed by floods which caused railways, homesteads, dams and live stock to be swept away. It is reported that forty lives have been lost, mostly in Gaintoos valley. The Mayor (Mr. Buxton) welcomed 07 invalided New Zealanders, who were homeward bound.
