RUSSIA IN THE EAST.
THE BRESLAU BUSY. TURKS EVACUATE TRENCHES. Received May 9, 10.40 p.m. Petrograd, May 8. A communique says: The cruiser Breslau bombarded Eupatoria. The Turks, under heavy artillery fire from the direction of Erzingham, evacuated the whole of their first line of trenches. (Eupatoria is a town of 18,000 population on the west coast of the Crimean peninsula,' and 42 miles by sea northwest of Sebastopol. * Many of the population are Jews.;
