CAUCUS DECISIONS.

Sydney, May 6. The caucus unanimously rescinded the resolution accepting the Minister's resignations. Mr. Storey formally resigned, and Mr. Holman was reinstated. It is understood it was proposed that a referendum should be. taken as to the abolition of the Legislative Council, immediately after the early closing referendum.

The Premier's Conference meets at Adelaide on May 22.

SCHOOL CHILDREN'S DEFECTS.

Sydney, May 5. Referring to the attitude of the British Medical Association towards the treatment of school children, Mr. Griffith said that last year the parents of 57,000 children had been notified of defects, and 40,000 were never treated. The conference endorsed the Minister's attitude.

The Labor Conference passed a motion in favor of granting women fall citizen rights. A further motion urged the Government to legislate to enable soldiers at the front to record their votes.
