GENERAL SMUTS' CAMPAIGN. RAINS SET IN. Received May 3, 9.30 p.m. London, May 2. Ceneral Smuts reports that rains have set in with violence. The enemy is strongly entrenched in the liills southeast of Kondoairangi Lake. It is reported that a small British force moved out at Bushare on April 29 and attacked the enemy, ./ho were strongly entrenched in the vicinity. The enemy were quickly driven off and the troops returned unmolested.
