ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
SHIP'S OFFICER MISSING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, Yesterday. K. Gustafen, aged 25, a Russian Finn, second officer of the steamer Ihumata, was out shooting with two others yesterday, and was missed. His clothes were found on the bank of the Waimata River. A search is being made for the body.
FOUND DEAD. Hastings. Yesterday. Francis William Maney, aged 58, a sign-writer, whose wife and family reside in Auckland, was found dead in his wliaro yesterday. He had been dead for two or three days.
