NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.

THE OPENING MEET. On Thursday afternoon the North Taranaki Hunt will open tlie lfllG season with a meet at Mr. C. Topliss' beautiful property t(t Waihi, where, given a fine day, a most enjoyable afternoon may be looked forward to. Mr, Topliss has always been a keen supporter of the Hunt, and it hag always been a pleasure to him to have a meet at the homestead, where huntsmen and spectators alike have always reeeived a hearty welcome by- Mrs. intd Misses Topliss. Mv. E. J. Rooke, the new huntsman, has the hounds in great fettle, and if the huntsmen have their horses as fit, some excellent runs should be the order of the day. The Hunt Committee extend a hearty invitation to the public generally to attend the opening meet.
