APPEARS BEFORE THE COURT. By Telegraph.—Press Association! . Rotorua, Yesterdaj. Rua and liis confederates appeared before Mr. Dyer, S.M., to-day. Mr. Selwyn Hays prosecuted, and Messrs J, E. Lundou and Carter appeared for the prisoners, Ruas' case was taken first, Mr. Mays, in opening, said he was confident himself that the question of armed reaistance to the forces of the Crown would admitted, also that the police eould have been attacked at any time on their way to Maunga Pohatu. Evidence is proceeding on the lilies already published. There are 35 police witnesses. The evidence showed that Sua declared himself to be Christ and the . Holy Ghost, and said that bullets could not touch him. He did not care if a million soldiers were sent to take him. | He snid that the Germans would win the ■war, and lie would become King of the ' Maoris and pakehas.
