RUSSIA'S TASK.
IN ASIA MINOR. TURKS RESISTING 'DESPERATELY. Times and Sydney Sun Services. London, April 20. •Latest Caucasus reports say tliat the Turks are endeavoring to concentrate between Trebizond and Erzerum. The Russians have captured the valleys and mountains north of Daidurt after a series of splendid assaults. The operations were very difficult, owing to the lack of roads and the snow-covered hills compelling the guns to be transported by hand. The Turks have been '.trongly reinforced and are desperately resisting the advance.
