Mr. Taylor, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Manaia, is at present on a visit to New Plymouth.
• Dr. Maguire, medical superintendent at the Auckland Hospital has .returned to the Dominion from military dutv. H© will probably take a short' holiday-, and will then resume 'his <luties at the Auckland hospital. Dr McKctvov, actina medical superintendent, will again take up his duties as medical superintendent at the Costlcy Home. Auckland, and a* medical officer of the ? Charitable Aid Board's dispensary. ,
On Thursday, at Ha went, Mr. P. O'Dea and his staff met to farewell Mr. \V. P. Fennel!, who has been a clerk with Mr. O'Dea for the past six years, and who « now leaving to entei a SemJnarv to study fot the Catholic Priesthood." On behalf of himself and staff, Mr. O'Dea made a presentation to Mr. Fennell of a travelling bag, and wished him every success ji hia new vocation. In addition to passing matriculation he has qualified in four branches of law for solicitor of Supreme Court at the age o 18 years. Mr. Fennell leaves Hawcra to-day.
