At a meeting of the Taumarunui Borough Council, a resolution from a ratepayers' meeting calling on the Mayor and councillors to resign, was considered. It was resolved, by four votes to three, not to resign; two eouneil'ors rt'ere absent. The Mayor explained Hint when the balance-sheet was out it would show that the council was in a financial position. The only trouble was that the rates, etc., had'not been follected early enough.
