The band is due to arrive in New Plymouth by the 11 a.m. train this morning, and will give their first programme in "Devon street this afternoon, and will also be heard again to-night. To-morrow morrting the service will be held in the Army'"Hall, and to-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock they will give a specially-selected programme in the Recreation Grounds. At 5.15, in the Theatre Royal, they Will render a most interesting service of song, in which the band and vocalists will be heard in their best numbers, and the connective reading is sure to appeal to the large audience that will no doubt crowd the theatre. On Monday morning and evening they will also give selections in Devon street, and are due to leave by the express on Tuesday morning, iii order to keep down the expenses, each of the visiting bandsmen has agreed to pay half his own travelling expenses, and it now rests with the people of New Plymouth to respond in a manner worthy of the town and help to raise a most creditable amount towards the four homos for the children of our fallen soldiers in New Zealand.
