SENSATIONAL ARREST.
EX-DANISH VICE-CONSUL APPREHENDED. | By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. Paul Hansen, a well-known land and estate agent, and ex-Danish Vice-Consul at Auckland, was apprehended by de? j tectives this morning, and escorted to the fort at Devonport. The superintendent of Police, beyond stating that he was acting under orders from Wei-. lington, declined to give any explanation. Shortly after Hansen's arrest the Danish Consul-General for New Zealand (Sir Francis Bell) visited the office of Hansen and Co., and took possession of all papers and removed the Vice-Con-sulate, w ANOTHER ARREST Auckland, Last Night. By instructions from the Defence De-; partment Dr Endletsberger, who lived' at Epsom, was arrested this afternoon, and handed over to the military authorities.
