RIFLE SHOOTING.

<. DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. In view of the rifle matches at Wanganui and Patea, there wjll be practice on the local range on Thursday afternoon; ranges 300, 500 and 000 yards, to commence as soon as practicable after 1 p.m. The team for Wanganui will be: Pres. Hill, Deputy-Pres. Bruce, Ellin. Humphries, Short, Oliver, Blanchett, Moore, Keating, A. Jones, Ramson, Marett and Davies. The team for the shield match at Patea will be selected after the Wanganuj match. The learn will leave by the mail train on Friday morning.
