WANGANUI SILVER BAND.

The Wanganui Silver Band will give their first programme in Tarauaki at the Stratford Town Hall on Friday night. On Saturday the band will arrive in New Plymouth, and the public will have an opportunity of hearing them during the (lay. Weather permitting, musical programmes will he rendered in the Recreation Grounds on Sunday afternoon, at which a collection will be taken up at the gates, and in the Theatre Royal at 8.15. The band will give an interesting service of song, in which the band vocalists, and also Staff-Captain Thurkettle, from l'almerston, will take part. Mr. J. Wilson, the popular master of the band, will wield the baton, and the whole of the collection (less a small expense) will be for the fallen soldiers' children's homes.
