At the wool sales there is a good selection of crossbreds, and the tone of the market continues to improve and prices harden. Merinos are very firm at 24Jd to 22% d. New Zealand prices: G.P.W., top, 18d, average 17y 8 d; Manganus, 17d and 10'/ 8 d; Ohaea, IGJd and 16Jd. Sheepskins.—l7so were offered. Home buyers were active and practically all were sold. Compared with the March sales merino combings and clothing and crossbred clothings are a jd. dearer, crossbred combings are unchanged, while lambs' wool is slightly in buyers' favor. Received April 15, 5.5 p.m. London, April 15. There was a, spirited sale for all qualities of crossbreds at full recent prices. Merinos were exceedingly firm. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named: Okare, top, 16|d, average l(l|d; Hikorangi, 17jd and 16J,d; Oringi, 18d and 17d; Okirae, 18d and 17idj Otaiki, !oid and )7%d. There have been catalogued to date 37,860 bales, of which 28,967 have been sold. OTHER MARKET& Wheat is slightly easier, and cargoes are steadily held. First Sydneys lojd to 17d; New Zealand, 17d to 19d. Rabbits are steady and unchanged, and frozen meats are not quoted.
