BOROUGH COUNCIL.
THE NEW ESTIMATES. The Estimates Committee of the New Plymouth Borough Council has made the following decisions in respect to revenue and expenditure for the ensuing year:— General rate tif Is fidHospital rate of 3d. In lieu of levying a sanitation rate the council itself will undertake the removal of refuse and nightsoil at uniform annual rates. Special rates, l s 3d. . Special rates over special rating districts prior to merging of same into the borouih.—Bridge rate Id, St. Aubyn lid. Barret Road ls 3d, Carrington Road 41d, Brooklands Road is 3d, Frankley Road Sd, Vealc Road 4d, Frankleigh Park O.'.d, Elliott Road 4 2-iid, Moa Road 17-Hd, Mangorei Road Id. Waterworks and Street Loans, Gd. Streets Loan, 13d. Tramways, 3d. Subsidies were granted as follows: Western Park Board £SO, Library £125, Citizens' Band £3O, Pukekura' Park £l5O, Technical College £25. The Mayor's honorarium for the year was fixed at £l5O. A water rate (ordinary supply) will be payable as follows: Dwelling houses Gd, stores or warehouses 3d. Hospital rate for buildings.
