BUTCHERS' TROUBLES. By Cable.—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 11. Before the Meat Commission several butchers gave evidence that, despite the high retail pries ruling, they were carrying on business at a loss, partly owing to the scarcity of stock as the result of the drought. They urged that if prices were fixed it should be upon the wholesale, not the retail, basis. Dealers also favored the grading of meat. - —. NEWCASTLE COLLIERIES.
