THE WELLINGTON DIFFICULTY. | I By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A deputation from the British Medical Association waited 'on the Minister for Internal Affairs to-day in connection with their dispute with Friendly Societies regarding payment for attending lodge members. The, doctors demand an increase from 15s to 24a pe» member, on the ground that the present scarcity of, medical men, through requirements for military service, renders the work more difficult to cover. A long discussion took place, the deputation indicating an inclination to stand firm by their demands; but eventually, on Mr. Russell's suggestion, it was agreed that a conference with lodge representatives should Tie held, on a date to be arranged.
