NEW PLYMOUTH V. OKATO. Okato residents are to be congratulated on forming a bowling club, and thanks to Mr. Roebuck's public spirit in placing his private green at the club's disposal fur this year while a new green is being put down, the Okato bowlers wera able to invite two rinks of New Plymouth players to a friendly game yesterday, when a most enjoyable lime was spent, the visitors being most hospitably treated. Considering the newness of the green it played far better than was expected, the home club winning a keenly contested match by 52 to 50. Before leaving the visitors expressed their appreciation of the welcome accorded to tliefll and expressed tbe hope that a return match would be played at Now Plymouth uext Thursday. Following are the scores, Okato being mentioned first at each rink: — O'Connor, Andrews, Franks, McGill (s), 20: v. Alexander, Hooper, Jas. McLeod. Brookman (s), 33.
