Cheese—The market is quiter, prices being from Is to 2s easier. , CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALES. .By Telegraph.—Press Association. • Christchurch, Last Night. lAt the concluding wool sale to-day 8297 bales were offered. There was a good attendance of buyers, but several prominent colonial firms were not represented. Much of the wool was of inferior quality compared with that at earlier sales. The bulk of the entry was secured by Dominion and French buyers, Home representatives largely holding aloof. There was good allround competition, but for fleece wools prices suffered -a decline of about y 2 d per lb. The prices realised were: Merino 10% d to 15d, half-bred Wd to 19d, three-quarter.bred 10% dto 16y 2 d, crossbred 10% d to 10% d, longwool (little offered) ll%d to 14% d, Oorriedale 15% d to 18% d and Down 13a/ 4 d. All sorts of pieces sold quite Up to recent quotations, lialfbred making up tq 18i4d, or %& more than any fleece clip sold up to the luncheon adjournment.
