In the heavy-weight boxing championship of the world between Willard (the holder) and Moran, Willard won on points. Moran put up a good and willing fight, but, with the exception of the third round, which ended in his favor, and the eighth and ninth, which ended evenly, Willard outmatohed him, securing points in the remaining seven rounds.
