At the general election yesterday the issue wrb complicated by the liquor referendam, which completely overshadowed the. other question. Voting was heavy, particularly on the part of the women. The electors were given the choice of any hour from 8 p.m. till 11 p.m. inclusive. The liquor interest selected 10 o'clock, the present limit, while the temperance supporters Trent solid for 6 p.m. Both worked tremendously hard, votes being cast irrespective of political color. As both absent and postal votes are operative, the figures are so far inconclusive on either the liquor or political issues, ,
