C:n;t:ible Fi.<l'>-r wr.s found guilty of the manslaughter of Nealon on January 10, and sentenced to seven years' penal servitude. [A probationary constable, John Fisher, shot dead his sister-in-hiw, .Jessie Nealon, and badly wounded his wife. The Fishers were staying with Xealon. A statement was made by Fisher, after his arrest. He said that he wished to leave Nealor.'s, but his wife refused to do so, in a fit of temper. He lost his temper, drew Ills revolver, and did the shooting.] QUEENSLAND MEAT SUPPLIES; Brisbane, March 24. In order to provide cheap meat, the Government is establishing cattle stations. The first will bo commenced immediately, with an area of four hundred square miles.
