Present indications are for moderate to strong south-easterly winds, backing to northerlies northward of New Ply" mouth and Napier, and increasing northerlies elsewhere. Expect cloudy and hazy conditions generally, and rain following shortly in West' Coast and southern districts. The barometer falling everywhere for a westerly disturbance that is likely to prevail in the next 3C to 42 hours.
