LAST NIGHT OF " THREE WEEKS." To-night at the Theatre Royal the artistic 6000 ft pictorial adaptation of Elinor Glyn's famous novel, "Three Weeks," will be presented for the last time. The general excellence of this film is beyond doubt—beautiful scenery, gorgeous dressing, superb acting, and a strong story, the interest of which is never for a moment allowed to drag. It is certainly a production that any lover of high-class drama should not miss. "House full" has been the order throughout the season, so intending patrons would be well advised to book their seats for to-night. The box plan is at Collier's. On Thursday an entirely new programme will be presented, the star film of which is Lubin's latest drama, "Nell of the Dance Hall,'' a story of the pulpit and the stage. The twelfth episode "The Master Key"' will also be included.
j EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE A capital AVestern stery is embodied in the Majestic Co.'s feature picturedrama;". "A Yankee, from the West," 'which. attracted a large audience at the Empire Picture Palace last evening. The acting 'is particularly well done and 'the subject carries'' conviction. The story concerns the life of young Milford, a college boy who was' sent West in search of his life work, loses a favorable start through careless methods of living, and is led to stealing from his, superior officer by a rival for the affections of a pretty young girl newly arrived from Sweden. Her native purity defends her from the rival, but she is not strong enough to. redeem young Milford, whom she loves. Her faith in Mm, however, shames liiui into a sturdy self-redemp-tion that enables him to make a winning figh't.,, .How lie is Made to realise his responsibilities and star.t on ,a happy career with the girl who loves him is a charming story, excellently told. " An outstanding feature of the play is the individual performances of every member of the east. The first part of the programme comprises; "Pathe Gazette," "Cutey's Awakening" (Vita, comedy), "Bang Mill Mines" (Japanese, scenic), and "The Royal Naval Division'' (Neptune topical). A well-selected programme was pleasingly contributed by the orchestra under the direction of Mrs. George. The same progiamni! will be shown to-night for the last time.
