Advice has been received in HnWera tlmt Mr. Charles Winks,' who went to England on a health-recruiting vieit, has arrived in London. Major E. P. Cox, who returned to the Dominion by the Arawa, is now in -Hawera. He went away from Hawera , with the Main Body, and saw service on the Gallipoli Peninsula, where he.VM Major Cox was sent to land to recuperatl, but wag subsequently invalided home. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. W. Butler, who were lip till recently residents of Patea, will (says the Prras) regret to learn that the Defence authorities have now reported that Private W. J. I. Butler, previously poßted as missing, is now believed to be dead. Private Butler was "wounded in the early * stages of the Gallipoli campaign and subsequently returned to the front, being wounded again on August S. in the memorable attack when Colonel Malotio was killed. Private Butler 1 was never seen after this.
