EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. The series of pictures comprising the new programme shown at the Empire Picture Palace on Saturday to record audiences will do much' to enhance the already high reputation of this picture house. The twelfth episode of the se»sational bid of a gang of censpiraters for a million dollars is entitled "The Elusive Treasure Box." The gang get wind of the whereabouts «f a box of valuable securities and depute a member to secure it. ,He succeeds with the help of a driver, and takes it to a conspirators' meetin". Everything is going smoothly when darkness eonu-s. and by the time the lights are on again, the box lias vanished. ,; A Rascal's Welfish Way," depicts the adventures of a valuable i'.ecklace. The film is one of the society comedy burlesques of the Keystone Company. The necklace is stolen, ano* the thieves are hunted with a railway train, a motorcar, and an aeroplane; in one remarkable scene the three are seen hastening along, together. A very pretty drama, "For his Mother," is presented by the Edison Company. It tells" how a Soldier gets iuto trouble by protecting an unworthy brother. The programme, also includes a newsy, Pathe War Oazette, a budget of views of Tunis, and a rollicking comedy by the favorite Lubin players, entitled "The Life Guard." As usual, the orchestral music was quite an entertainment in itself. The same programme will be wpeateii to-night ,for the last time
