OKATO DOMAIN BOARD.

ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Okato Domain Board, there were present, Mejssr.s. B. T. Booker (chairman), J. Wooldridge, C. Shaw, J. S. Fox, T. Street, J. L .Power, S. A. Daily and Larson (secretary), Mr. B. T. Booker resigned liis position on the Board owing to his pending departure from the district Ho referred to the good feeling that had existed between members of the Board, and said that it had been a pleasure to hold office thereon. The resignation was accept witli regret, and Mr, J, S. Fox, who was appointed chairman, spoke of the good service of Mr. Booker, who, he said, had worked like a trojan in the Board's interests and in the interest of the district generally. It was resolved to recommend Mr. W. H. Clarke to fill the vacancy on the Board. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £6B, and it was resolved to place £OO on fixed deposit for 12 months with the National Bank. It was also decided to isk the Pnkekura Park Board to permit Mr. W. W. Smith to visit Okato and advise the Board as to the laying off of the grounds and the planting of suitable trees. The Domain contains 13 acres, of which eight acres will be utilised for sports ground, the balance being native bush.

It was decided ' not to spend any money on the sports ground as labor was too near at present.
