The New Zealand Shipping Company has purchased f our sections, comprising altogether about one acre of laud, part of the property of .Mr. Stanley Shaw recently subdivided at South road. The sections acquired by the company are alongside the railway line. No particulars are available as to the company's future intentions, but it i* suggested that it contemplates trading at tlie port of New Plymouth in the near future, and has acquired the property as a site for buildings for storage purposes,
