NEWTON KING'S REPORT. On Tuesday, March 7,1 held my fourweekly sale of above produce to a good attendance of buyers. The • catalogue comprised: 127 bales and 345 sacks of wool, ISSO sheepskins, 13 casks and 51 tins tallow, 450 hides and 383 calfskins. Competition was keen, but at prices in sympathy with the drop recorded on the Home markets. The bulk of the offering of wool showed seed, and this class of wool does not meet with a ready sole, and growers must be prepared to reduce their reserves. Bright and clean scrts .sold well at V«i drop, and pieces advanced 2d per lb. Woolly skins declined y a d. pelts and short-woolled at recent rates. Tallow declined la 6d per cwt. Hides were barely, up to last sale prices.
